Daygowns
The
kimono sleeve daygown will be among the easiest daygowns you will ever
sew. Create a variety of lovely designs including a Christening
gown, an embroidered antique daygown, a baby sacque, and cute daygown
designs. This daygown is ideal for a range of fabrics, from Swiss
batiste to cashmere flannel to Swiss flannel and brushed cotton, as
well as a variety of prints. In one word, this daygown is
FUN! Look below for embellishment ideas and create more of your
own.
A
baby carriage with bullion roses has been centered on the front of this
pink cashmere flannel daygown.
Tiny buttons have been used as the wheels. The neckline, sleeves,
and false hem
have all been embellished with pink whip stitch piping.
Yellow buttons and
embroidery were used to make the baby rattles which center the front of
this daygown. The baby rattle was designed by Beth Bryson of
Beth's Heirloom Sewing in Wetumpka, AL. Yellow whip stitch piping
completes the sleeve and neckline of this soft daygown made of white
cashmere flannel.
Machine-embroidered
walking yellow ducks were centered on this yellow cashmere flannel
sacque.
Hand made tatting was added to the sleeves and neckline.
The
kimono sleeve daygown is perfect for a variety of print fabrics.
Shown here is a pique print trimmed with white slip stitch piping on
the sleeve and neckline.
Blue
cashmere flannel was chosen for this baby sacque
which is centered with a cute big, white machine-embroidered teddy bear.
A tiny Swiss edging was hand whipped to the neckline and sleeves.
Perfect for a baby boy!
